The largest seal is the southern elephant seal(Mirounga leonina). They are said to grow up to 3,000kg in captivity & 4,000kg in the wild.

Salmon are white-fleshed fish.
The reason its flesh appears red is due to the components in the crustaceans it feeds on.

Fur seals & seals cannot drink sea water. They get their water from the fish they feed on.

This is called hemispheric sleep, in which one eye is closed & the brain rests on the other!In the wild, they sleep while swimming to protect themselves!

They breathe through the "breathing hole" on the top of their head!
