Starfish digest their food by putting their stomachs outside their bodies. This allows them to eat food beyond small crevices and even large pieces of food.

It is called nuptial color, which looks yellow or golden. This is how they show off their presence.

There is one at the tip of each of its five arms. Some starfish have more than five arms, but this is very rare.

In the sea, they eat mainly fish, squid & octopus.
At Noboribetsu Marine Park Nixe, we feed them mackerel, okhotsk atka mackerel, horse mackerel, & sand lance.

There are five species of wild seals that can be seen in Japan: bearded seal (Erignathus barbatus), ringed seal (Pusa hispida), spotted seal (Phoca largha), Harbor seal (Phoca vitulina), and ribbon seal (Histriophoca fasciata).
In Japan, these seals can basically only be seen in Hokkaido.
